You might need a brace from your strut tower, if you're
getting any forward deflection of the master cylinder when the pedal is pressed hard. If it is a competition car, you may also want to think a heat shield. It gets a little warm down in that corner if it's a pinto.

mk2 2dr club car. pinto, stage 1 valves, rl31 cam, gsxr 600 tb running  MS2 extra. :-)))

Hi Rallyrs,

The firewall isn't flexing but a good idea anyway.

I am in the middle of knocking up an Alloy Heatshield at the moment.

Cheers,

Matt

Looks like a neat conversion; how does it compare to the standard boosted setup?

Braking effort is about the same but it takes a little getting used to.  It certainly isn't super hard or anything.

I find they tend to lock up a bit easier but then I haven't drive it much since doing it and really getting a feel for the braking lock up point etc...

Cheers

Yeah, the guy who made it made it for a MKI and probably didn't need to go to that much trouble.  It does look awesome though.

I think it's about 30mm thick from memory but I will check tomorrow.

Cheers
