before i put the datsun m/c on i tried the escort one on the firewall .. and you really have to pull the stockings up lol, it's amazing how much difference changing the m/c size really does . and the datsun 11/16 must be right on the money as far as std escort brakes go, also easier flares.. piss those mushroom ones off

There is a thread on here or the RS forum. It very good and has a lot of info on the 120y setup. I cannot seem to find it at the minute.

The datsun mc has a residual valve in each circuit, this is held in by the large nut which the brake lines screws into. I removed the valve from the front circuit. It is meant to maintain a bit of line pressure for drum brake systems. I think my mc was a datsun sunny 11/16 unit.

Has anyone thought of using a remote booster?? Vh40 or 44, as IF your doing major mods for an engineer's certificate you need to maintain the booster..

The PBR boosters do seem very popular. about $450 new but from the comments I've seen they're very simple to install. I read that the VH40 is for disc/drum and the VH44 is for drum/drum. Can anyone add to this?

Hi Guys, I am in the midst of fitting the volvo calipers with Capri struts and the 120Y m/c. I had a friend make up the firewall adapter out of aircraft grade aluminium. I think it looks realy sexy and is light as. The next step is to make the pushrod adjustable to ensure everything matches up perfect. I can post up some measurements if you want. Cheers, Matt P.S. Yeah i have been told the same thing...i'm thinking just get rid of it use an adjustable pedal box box and see if the engineer questions it...

Being Qld I think booster has to stay. But depending on the engineer I spose, they always slip around the regulations

It seems like the VH44 for drums and VH40 for discs....there seem to be a multitude of suffixes however meaning different variants which will work for different applications however.. I haven't seen what their boosting ratios are though.
