well considering the engine, suspension, gearbox etc are all from my original black mk1 it fells like the same car.i still cant believe after 15 years i bought back all my old stuff that had been sitting in strorage for 10 years.it was ment to be.i only realised that it was billys car and my engine when i saw it in the flesh when i picked it up.one of the shots shows how i received he car,in many boxes.having not screwed together an escort for 7 years i was worried how i would go.but like a duck to water it all came back to me.i suppose building Escorts for a living for 10 years will do that for you.it took me all of 4 months to complete.i did everything including paint, welding, brake lines etc.the only thing i left to someone else was the fitting of windows,as the are mint and hard to get in cairns.
