    Hi Troy,

Simplify the file names before you upload...there are some () around the image size text that interfere's with the forum code. If you remove these and call the pics for example pic1, pic2 etc....they will definately work for you:)

    Cheers,

    Phil.

I have removed the display tags and you can see the part that stands out...that is the part of the file name that isnt working.

    Cheers,

    Phil.

Hi Corty76, I built this car originally from the ground up around 15 years ago before selling it to the guy you just bought it from.

Nice to see someone enthusiastic has bought it and plans to bring it back to life again.

Keep the pics coming as I'd love to watch the progress and all the best with the restoration.

Also, if you need any questions answered about the mods just ask and I'll see if I can remember what I did.

Hi Troy, good to see you ended up with the car even if you had to wait so long to get it.

It would be great if you could scan and post up some pics of it in it's hey day as I lost all my photos a few years back.

Sounds like you are on the right track by getting it blasted and starting again from scratch.

If you need some cash to start the project off and want to get rid of some of the old parts you don't intend on re-using, I would be interested in pretty much anything off the car (suspension, Globes etc...). Send me an email to discuss further if you like.

As far as the old specs go, my memory has faded a bit over the years but I seem to recall swapping the front x-member for a Mk1 GT item but thought I kept the diff housing original but adding 9" Mk1 GT drums and a 3.9 GT centre. The struts I custom made from Mk1 housings with Datsun inserts and custom made springs.

    Best of luck mate.

    Dave.

Hi Troy, thats one big hole in the floor too...

I suggest as the next step to keep pulling bits out such as suspension etc in readiness for the upcoming sandblasting session.

Start doing research on what driveline to fit and start taking measurements and putting the plan down on paper (or electronically on PC) etc...

Also work out what will be required for rego (engineer etc) if you are doing major structural modifications which is what it looks like from the pictures.

Planning what you want to achieve always helps keep the project on track.
