1.8lt vs 2.0lt zetec

Can anyone confirm with certainty that the 1.8lt zetec block cant be bored out to 2.0lt's?

I would find it strange that ford would have two different castings, althought given some of the strange things they have done in the past anything is possible. :-)

    well if the stroke is same , the cranks are same to block must be different...
    The UK guys have tried and confirmed no go

    From what I have been told, the blocks are the same it is just the cranks that are different. I would verify that though as I have only heard it second hand.
