Finished the pushrod for mounting the M/C to the firewall.

The MK2 pushrod was too thick so I used one from a MKI (big thanks to HAK073).  It needed to be cut down to 190mm and the end thinned down with the angle grinder to fit into the M/C.

The fit is excellent and there is only about 3mm play in the pedal before it pushes on the M/C.

Here's a few pics.

Cheers

Matt

I got a full standard exhaust system from Whooligan so once that's in I can get it back to the mechanic for the roadie then drive it finally.

Cheers,

Hey Daz,
Yes, they are a lot lighter than the standard ones and push the track out about 10mm per side too.  Plus they look the dogs balls!
Here is the link - http://www.motorsport-tools.com/escort-grp4-rix-engineering-alloy-front-wheel-hub-large-bearing-standard-studs-p-268405.html
I highly recommend Motorsport-tools.com.  Rhys is a great guy and their customer service is awesome,  The hub bearing caps were not a great fit (would fall out if held upside down) so they got new ones in and posted them to me for free.
Not many aussie guys use the bike carbs but in the UK it's very popular as webbers are getting very expensive these days.

Ez', As i guessed the thickness of the firewall I may still need it yet.

Cheers,

Matt

I dont have 10mm track to play with :-(
Got my tca's from motorsport-tools.
Nice work on the brakes. I tried to get the H/Brake linkage but no one had one. so i had to make one. Shoulda tried harder i guess.
Looks awesome - good work.

Took the car in today to get a Roadie and all that was wrong was it needed a new steering rack bush.

Have sorted out a Quick Rack thanks to Whooligan.

Having it fitted on Monday so all should be good to go and on Club Plates by Months end.

Woo Hoo!

Well after 18months I have finally got the roadworthy.

I had the quick rack fitted and the adjustable TCA's too.

I was unsure what the car would be like after the rack was fitted but it feels so much tighter it's amazing.  Still wallows around corners though.

Can't wait to start putting all the parts I have collected over the past year and a half in it.

Here's a few pics after I got her home tonight.

Cheers
