Capri Sport Brakes re posted from brake forum

Caprisport are a place based in the UK that do parts for the Capri, I myself am very interested in the brake kits they do. One in particular uses the caliper from a Mondeo the kit is a GTR 260/280. Has anyone used this kit on a Capri or Escort for that matter? Really of particular interest is the fact they will let you buy only the bits you need, I was scared s##tless at the cost of the HS kit by the time I added it all up, it was close to 2000 smackers and thats a bit steap in my book. Especially when you factor in that they will not split the kit.

Ok the kit uses cosworth discs and mondeo calipers, all are off the shelf items in Australia, kit can even be speced with nice ally bearing caps, that extend the hub the thickness of the disc. This means that my wheel will have a full contact area, happy times. I believe I can get out of this for around 700-800 dollars if all goes to plan.280 mm vented discs and off the shelf parts in Australia = happy times. Will keep all posted on the progress

Hi the 285mm brake kit, do the standard 13" rims fit?
is the breaking that much better than the vented kit?

I have 260mm 4 piston kits arriving next week. $1,125/set with pads. Nice shiny red calipers too.

Direct replacement to Capri struts, using Capri hubs.

A bit old skool, but I've fitted princess 4 pot calipers, capri 2.8 vented and drilled discs, goodrich hoses all will fit 13 inch rims.
I paid £ 200 notes for the calipers £60 for discs and 25 for hoses, not sure if that was good but I've just seen on eBay the calipers recon for about £50 uk pounds, fk!
