Replacing Zetec Head-gasket

Hi

Does anyone have an excerpt of a manual for replacing the headgasket on a blacktop zetec?

I get the general idea but dont have the bolt removal sequence or torque settings. Am i correct in thinking that once the timing belt is off the head will come off with cams and valve gear intact?

If you were considering a decompression plate with 2 gaskets do you think it's advisable to shoot for the same torque settings?

I would only contemplate a custom thick copper head gasket.

Can you get them thick enough to drop the compression down into the 8:1's? It'd need to be a good 3mm thick wouldn't it?

You would have to do the measurements.
I can't remember what max. thickness was.
