Mk2 RS springs into mk1?

Hi All, got pair of single leaf springs with uprated bushes from a mk2 rs i broke, anyone know whether they will fit my mk1?

    They will if you cut the width of the front eye loop to mk1 size(2inch)carefully, then fit mk1 bushes, use the mk2 U bolts and shackles as well as the mk2 rear pivot arms...job done !
