I only open mine 3 times a year and that is usally on overcast days or at night. You get really hot if you open them when the temp is high or the wind noise is soo high you can't hear a thing.

Then when it rains you have an inbuilt shower from the leaks that form.

A panel beater can fit them, or the retailer can usally sort something out (if you want his staff to start hacking into your roof turret) as part of the price

Only ever had one escort with a sunroof, +1 to the comments about noise and leaks. Never again....don't do it, especially with good shells getting thin on the ground.

Second owner of my RS fitted a popup sunroof in the mid eighties - the sunroof is the only reason I decided to stay period rather than return to concours.

I hate it with a passion - that is until I drive her in 30+ degrees North Queensland summer, then I bless the extra airflow suplimenting the limited pommy designed cabin ventilation.....

ive got a pop up sunroof in my mk2... the owner before me put it in...
it doesnt leak at all... wen its popped up its not that loud either... it does get pretty hot inside the car wen its all locked up though... but driving for a min with the windows down soon fixes that... or even if its a nice day i normally jus leave it poped up a bit n jus lock the doors...

if i was to own a mk2 with no sunroof im not sure that i would put 1 in... prob not jus cus id rather spend money on other things... but its pretty cool i like it haha

Put the money to Aircon, far better option. Best thing to have, not that hard to do.
