Mallala Practice Session

Here's a couple of vids from Saturday. First lap is probably a bit boirng on most of them. Third one slow because of yellow flag.

I did a few brake changes and went slower [:I] Will be upgrading front pads to something with better bite and fitting a cage before I go out next. Saw first hand how they come in handy during a roll over in the first session.

The car needs to lose more weigh or gain alot more power

Yep Datto 1600. Bent the cage a fair bit too.
The KE70 goes well, put on a good show.

    Rhys,

What diff ratio u got ?

    and

    What brakes ?

I went out Sunday and heard all about the turn one incident from the Torana guys.

    G'day Roger,

Diff is 4.11:1 LSD though I think welded performed better.

Brakes Rear: Silvia Calipers, 200SX Solid rotos, EBC Green Pads
Front: PBR Calipers (VE Commodore) 296mm slotted/vented rotors, TRW Lucas Pads, the front pads I feel are the down fall.
I used to run EBC Greens in my old setup up front and had a much stronger bite I could rely on. They didn't fade but didn't have the bite I wanted either.
Will look into the QFM A1RM pads or possibly EBC again.

Turn 1 crash was messy. WRX spun out out got hit by Civic, Civic got hit by Integra. I'd say Civic was a definate write off and Integra most likely a write off. I was on track at time so missed it but saw the aftermath [B)].

...........is one I just uploaded from a few years back.

Pretty conservative lap, looking at it now.

A 4.11 would have been good that day as you can see @ 200 foot braking marker [even before] its on the 8.2k rpm limiter.

A welded diff is ok, but ugly in wet.

I tried some reds and they were very wooden.
Go the DS 3000 route and change at track, u'll never look back.

    The 3 clowns were mates.
How the hell the 3rd car hit is stupid as he was a ways back [could have seen thru corner, surely.]

Not sure you can get DS3000 for these calipers.

I'll do some research over the coming months.

There was some big carnage that day. I was out there with the bloke in the GTR Torana, mustard 1600, and black pulsar. Got myself a MK2 Cortina coupe to up build and get out there some day so I was having a good look at that MKI cortina with the BPT in it.
