I got all the dimension of these ram tubes from Elpro and made tempplates- they wont fit, they flare out too much. Back to the drawing board.

Did you give them the required dimensions to custom make or did you choose from a pre-manufactured selection?

I rang up and got their dimension for 3 different lengths off the shelf. The smallest out of my choise of 3 (60mm) were the only ones I worked out I could get on. Here a pic of them fitted to tb's. Download Attachment: TB's with stacks 003.jpg 61.91 KB Rhys

I've wired in new ECU, haven't touched it in nearly 2weeks due to Uni and work. Tonight was first time in a while, started designing an airbox/plenum out of cardboard. Need to calibrate sensors get filter setup sorted and on and send to dyno for tuning. Sounds simple enough but don't see it happening for atleast a another few weeks. Im itching to drive it again.

Nothing too major to report, but have made up an airbox to keep me going till/if I can sort out anything better. Toinght I hooked laptop up to it, timed it up and loaded in a base map from another car with a different engine but still 4cyl then fiddled with it a bit. Got 5.4v outa my battery on cranking, though it did fired a couple of times and came close to starting it didn't have the guts to actually start it. So Im happy that wiring of computer seems to be all sweet, all sensors are reading at laptop, dizzy is getting spark and a fat one at that. I now know why my car was so crap at starting sometimes, the spark is about 10times bigger (seriously) no than it used to be even with a flat batt. So batteries on charge overnight and I'll have another crack tomorrow in between studying for another friggn exam. Then its goes off for proper tuning, setup of ECU and calibration if sensors next Tuesday. I hope ...fingers crossed I've got a driveable Escort by the end of next week Rhys

Very nice... sounds like you've got the same problem as me, my squirt turned up in the middle of swot vac, I hid it but it somehow managed to reappear on my bed and unpack itself [:I] who are you getting to tune it for you? Alastair

Shiit yeh it runs! A charged battery and a bit more fiddling with ECU settings and I had car running this arvo. Will leave the rest for the professionals now I think.
Stairsy, swotvac sucks. Turns brains to jelly, you've gota have some sort of outlet in between all the studying. Boostworx will be tuning it.
