As far as dyno sheets go, I wasn't really planning on doing a before and after unless someone wants to sponsor me , trying to build on a budget here[:p]. I have a few dyno sheets from current setup last year and year before so they'll have to do.
I also plan on getting dizy re-curved and ignition system changed, so this could also add to things. But I want all that done before dyno tune as I'd be wasting my money otherwise.
I'll keep progress posts coming.

Thats what I meant.. Before being last year or whenever (the one in the dyno section) and after being when you have it tuned

RS207, These ones looked in great nick and came up at price I was willing to pay with a seller willing to ship to Aust. Not much more to it. I had the twin weber manifold but decided its not worth cutting up when I have a mate that can make me a custom manifold to suit the setup a little better.
Glenn, Deal.
Andrew, Will do.

Looking good. Custom manifold looks like it is coming along.
Hopefully the power out put and drive ability is better than the serria injection.
Their was a good artical in Classic Ford Feb 2007 about fitting Bike Carbs.
Cheers Andrew

Have been told that the later bodies that you have are a better design anyhow. I guess it's a case of establishing if you have the resources to make a custom manifold or try to source the individual bodies as mentioned above.
After looking around the Honda 1000RR bodies have a spacing of 85mm which is darn close to the 90mm of the DCOE so maybe it's possible to fit these easier to a weber manifold?? Not sure of availability or price though. The standard GSXR have a 75mm spacing from memory.
I have the latest CF also regarding fitting the bike carbs. Must admit the details are a little vague which seems to be the norm for this publication in general.
Keep us posted!

More progress. But Im still working on wiring and setting up all the hoses. Also gave up on the HQ radiator hose idea for the connecting hose between manifold and t/b's as I could only get one side on then not the other. So bit the bullet and bought 51mm//2" hose from Pirtek which looks 10times better and slid straight over. I just had to do it up real tight. Completed manifold pics Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 005.jpg 43.99 KB Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 007.jpg 39.47 KB Old setup and New, throttle bodies weigh about half of what Sierra manifold does. Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 026.jpg 66.99 KB New fuel rail section on left now with return line and original one on right. Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 029.jpg 63.73 KB Trial fit Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 022.jpg 71.46 KB Download Attachment: Throttle Bodies 021.jpg 64.14 KB Now I've got to mount fuel reg somewhere and re-route fuel hoses but it's starting to take shape. Sweet, I am glad that Magazine article came in handy for you. What air filter are you thinking of running and also does the lenght of the pirtek hoses suppose make any difference?

Michael, No idea on air filters yet, need to get it running first. I'm assuming I'll find some sort of sock filters, possibly at a Motorbike shop but sidedraft weber ones would have to be similar in size so they're also a possibility. The hose length was never supposed to be that long but the radiator hose i tried initially to join them with, I cut too short and TPS just touch number 4 on dizzy cap so I got 4x 100mm sections so I had alot to play with and cut them down to 95mm then decided I'd leave it and see how it goes. Might need to go less again to fit filters on. Dave, I need to sort wiring on TPS, Im not 100% what wires what. Then need to properly mount manifold and connect fuel lines and i reckon it should be about ready. Oh I need to find another coolant temp sensor alos as one wire broke off mine today right at base of sensor so I cant re-join it. Also unsure about which fuel regulator to use on the setup. Rhys

Dan, Thanks mate but only need to relocated fuel reg and cut line to suit. Might flare fuel reg lines in he future though, once I know its running.
Glenn, Have another beer.....mum kindly donated the granit. She says alloy manifolds bring out the shine better.

Rhys Have a look on eBay.com for your intake filters for bikes - there's a fair selection available to suit the GSXR throttle bodies. Price including freight I think is reasonable. Looking good by the way
