Had exciting arrival from USA this morning. Suzuki GSXR 1000 throttle bodies. They look like they're new. Have pic of when I was comparing fit up against redline twin weber manifold. Angles are all wrong even if I were to use some form of flex pipe to join them. Will get a custom manifold made up very soon and hope to turn these into a reality and piss -off the Sierra manifold to see if there is any gains made. The t/b manifold is progressing. A few pics from this morning. They've been spaced out with little alloy spacers. Alloy tubes joining t/b's to manifold are just temporary to get everything lined up nicely. These will be replaced with most likely silcone hose. Gettting the right size is proving a bit difficult though. Ideally need something thats 48mm. Can get either 45 or 51mm. Hey Rhys,
Looking good. I will take pics of the current classic ford mag for you and send you the article on how to fit these bad boys. It is the issue with the red mk2 mexico and yellow rs2000 if that helps.

jeez mate you are constintly evolving this lil escort of yours... i demand before the throttle bodies go on you take me for a spin from clarendon pub back to blacks road......
and then once the throttle bodies on the same run....
it might be a good idea to do some gtech runs before and after and see if theres any improvments there....

Geez guys your pretty demanding! I can tell you how the car will go with 3people in it thru that section, like a 1600 with one person in it, except will probably start to handle worse than the 1600. There we go, done As far as dyno sheets go, I wasn't really planning on doing a before and after unless someone wants to sponsor me , trying to build on a budget here[:p]. I have a few dyno sheets from current setup last year and year before so they'll have to do. I also plan on getting dizy re-curved and ignition system changed, so this could also add to things. But I want all that done before dyno tune as I'd be wasting my money otherwise. I'll keep progress posts coming. Rhys

Hey Rhys the project is looking great. Can't wait to see the difference in power they make. Any reason why you went for those TB's? I was always looking down the path of the pre-2000 GSXR 750's as they can be split into 4 individual units and hence they can be spaced to fit a standard twin weber manifold.
