Coilover MK2 strut into MK1

Hi all,
My parts car had these struts.



They are MK2 Struts.
If I use them in my MK 1, will I be able to get the ride height low enough, I have eibach springs 250mm in length.

should the threaded bit be situated lower down?
This will be a tarmac car not gravel.

    I have Mk2 struts in my Mk1, here is a photo, the threaded section on mine looks lower, But I have 50mm shorter inserts. The top of my strut tubes are cut off where the weld for the swpring cup was.
