A quick question for the capri guru's out there.
Just curious about Mk1 1600 battey location.
I have noticed some on the passanger side, and some on the drivers side.

OK, thanks for the quick answer
Makes you wonder why the difference between the auto and manual?
Is it due to starter motor location?

Yep, the long lead required to power the starter on the auto means too much power drop so they relocated the battery to shorten the lead

Yet in the escort twincam they put the battery in the boot. Must be pretty big voltage drop there.

I would have thought a more substantial cable would have been the easier solution.
