1.3 or 1.6 how do I tell ?

Hi Guys , I have just picked up an old panelvan that came with either a 1.3 or 1.6 motor and box in the back ,I have no use for it and before I sell it need to know if there is an easy way to tell what it is 1.3 or 1.6, can anyone help as I have only ever had 2 Litres ?[x2x]

    The block will have either BB or BA after the 711M.
    BB is 1300
    BA is 1600

    Hi Craig , thanks for the info

    I just checked and the engine plate on the rhs of the block has 711M6015AA stamped on it , that isnt either , any ideas ?

    Just chec block height. Look at front of engine, check the waterpump housing, Ig it is almost flush with the top of the block it is a 1300, if there is about half an inch of block showing before the head sits onto the block it is a 1600.

    1300= aa not bb

    1600= ba

    Just been down this track... AA = 1300. Verify it by googling the engine code.. all shall be explained ! Mike
