SR20DET S14 into a mk1 escort

Thought I might share some photos of my new engine mounts, fitting an S14 SR20DET in to a mk1 escort. They looked impossible to do in the start, but about 2 and a half days later the engine is hanging happy as can be.

I used 6mm steel, a bit of overkill, but very strong. They will probably out last the car.

Plans are to go fast, corner fast and stop on a twenty cent piece.
To help achieve this I've got a hilux LSD, 4-linked with watts linkage.
GAZ Gold adjustable coilovers on all corners, Wilwood brakes.
Tension strut kit, adjustable TCA & strut tops. Quick rack 2.4 turns.
Tonnes of body stiffening, seam welding, weld-in rear roll cage, bolt in front cage.
    Bubble arches with fat rubber.
Engine wise, mostly stock with improved exhaust manifold, dump and exhaust.
Custom PWR radiator 42mm thick core, twin 11inch Spal fans, Davies Craig electric water pump.
Increased boost with electronic boost controller, decent plumb back BOV, biggest intercooler that can fit - PWR 600x300x73mm core. BMC air filter. Nistune.

    Road rego, pending engineer certificate.
That's why the front half of the cage is going to be bolt-in. Can only rego a half cage.
It's gonna see as much track time as I can get. Track days etc, nothing too serious.
I've run all modifications past the engineer and he sees no problem.

    Work continues.
    Mounted the intercooler.

Then mounted the raiator. I'm gonna redo the top mounts, not too happy with the angle.

Looks like a great project. Is it just me or does the top radiator outlet look to be at a spot that will make it near on impossible to get a hose to the thermostat housing? could be just the pic deceiving me.
