Kizza's Escort (In Fast Fours Magazine)

Well its about time I did abit of a write up on my Escort. It's a Mk2 2 door thats taking me around 18 months to complete (if they ever are complete that is). Heres abit of a run down,

ENGINE
2 litre, trw forged pistons 10.5-1 comp
Twin 45 webers
kent rl30 cam and kent vernier
Big bore pacemakers
ported head with oversize stainless valves
All hoses bar the bottom radiator are braided.
PWR radiator with twin SPAL fans

DRIVELINE/SUSPENSION
Grp4 bilstein struts
2.4 turn quickrack
bias pedal box with wilwood masters
Ebay big brake kit
concentric strut tops
sierra type 9 5 speed
excedy heavy duty clutch
Falcon ED XR8 diff with 4 pinion LSD and 4.11
ED rear brakes
King rear springs
Koni adjustable rear shocks

INTERIOR
Retrimmed RS Scheels/ back seat retrimmed to match
RS dash with white dials
Custom mounted autometer guages into old ash tray space
New carpet/headliner ETC
Custom trimmed boot and Airbrushed mural inside of boot.

Anyways enough of the boring bits heres a couple of pics and make sure to buy Fast Fours and Rotaries on January 19 its a feature car. Cheers

Thats how it looked when I got it.

thats not long after it was painted, at this point it was decided to do a full resto and thats when it became a big job (as it always seems to do)

So the engine had to be bare metalled, this was done by Geelong Soda Blasters.

Another pic of the bay

Strut pic

Just a random pic at home on the hoist.

Now we skip a lot of the work due to me being to stupid to get more pics.[:o)]
But here we are at how it is today.

Cheers Kieran

Cheers for the kind comments. It wont be making that noise for too much longer. I will be pulling the engine/box to make way for a Yb Turbo in around 6 or so months. Just got the word the engine has arrived at the Melbourne docks. Also, have a w58 supra box waiting to go in.

Very nice job Kizza. Have you given it a run on a dyno?

One thing to watch is that the Cams carnival is on hold til May 2011.
