    Pat,
I had a quick chat to Stephen at the car show about this. I know a mate at Kiama who does a great job at plastic welding. How soon do you need his number?

Could you confirm that the nose cone material is going to be actually plastic welded,

    OR

Are they going to use epoxy type bond material?

I did a lot of research on this recently with several professional bumper bar restorers who say they can only bond, not weld the urethane rubber. The material is not plastic, hence cannot be welded (from what I was told).

Is it made from ABS? My ford bumper is and you can buy ABS pipe cement from plumbing supply places. It melts it back together.

Just a thought. Not sure on what the bumper is made from.

I had a RS nose cone which was almost cut in half and somehow re-joined and it was fine. The only reason i found out is when i sanded it back....left side red & right side yellow!
