5 holes in rad support on mk1

just wondering what people do to get the 5 holes in the radiator suppor at the front of a mk1 1

    Metal hole saw and a swaging tool if you're fancy....

    Others simply opt for the 'rally' slam panel which has the holes pre pressed.

    That pic is of my car.....I simply used a hole saw.

    Ideal thing would be to find someone with a swaging tool to suit so that you can press the lip in to strengthen the panel. I didn't bother, too many other things to finish off.

    Nardo Very easy,2 inch hole saw, and most panel beaters will have a swaging tool. mine had one.

    I bought a replacement front panel with the holes pre cut and swaged. Measured on the inside, the hole is 57mm.

    Looks to be a nice size.

    nardo, I got mine from ulsterman on this forum. I cannot remember how much it was but I was very happy with the price. He was selling them on eBay at one point I believe but not sure if he has any left. Drop him a line!
