Need a clever person to photoshop it for you. I am thinking about the orange on a new Ford Focus XR5 and did a photoshop (basic and not terribly good) of it. Helps to get a feel for it....

IMO these modern 3 layer colours look even better on curvy classics The rounded panels show of the features of the colours much better than the flat panelled modern cars[;^)]

Marty your the man. Looks good. You happy with the result? Its a metallic isnt it? I will be painting myself and not sure if painting metallics is much harder. If so I may have to go for the same colour but flat.

Thanks Glenn, If you can paint acrylics or 2pk there shouldnt a problem. I used a normal gray primer before spraying on the orange basecoat, next was the Electric Orange colour and finally the clearcoats, all in 2pk and cost was around $700 in paints/reducers.
The colour is a modern pearl type which relies on a basecoat to enhance its colour. Best to use a gravity gun too

Nardo go for the blue, it will look sweet as! My friend has a mk1 that i painted underneath in the same blue while on a rotissery, just waiting till the top side is ready to paint !!

I think Electric Orange would be a fairly difficult colour to apply if doing it yourself... especially if its your first time.

To be done properly it is a 4 stage paint process. It has a white undercoat, then the orange layer, then the "effect" layer, which is a mix of pearl and metallic, then clear coat over. If the "effect" layer is applied on different angles or different thicknesses over the car will look uneven in the light.

It is a great colour though.

yeah speaking with MartyMex I have decided against the colour even though it looks great on his car!

Will aim for a similar orange in a flat colour.
