Gilbern invader

Yet another car with the v6 motor. This has come up on ebay and appears to be fibreglass with a steel chassis of some kind. Design wise it looks like they started with a morris 1100 and tried to meld that with alfa and volvo and not quite succeeded. Nice guard flares and wide stance. With a weight of about 900 kilos and the dport motor it should go pretty good.
This car is obviously quite rare in aus, should it be restored, or stripped of its motor and buried?

Hey JR , that wouldn't be the same gearbox from a zephyr.

This was last on sale for approx $1800.00
If so I have one for sale...

The car is supposed to have the zephyr / scimitar OD box, just like the one in your pic. Seller says its a 4 speed so its most likely been changed to a regular side link.

What would one expect to pay for an overdrive box?
I thought he was dreaming for that type of money.. That's probably why he's still got it..

I'd pay about $500 - $700 for an OD box, anymore than that will get you a used Toyota conversion
