single 40mm idf on xflow

Hi

I was going through some parts the other day in the shed and came across a single 40mm idf downdraft carby. I currently restoring a mk1 van with bubble arches and a mild 1600 xflow.

Was just wondering how hard it would be to fabricate a manifold to suit?

Has anyone seen any designs that may be of use??

I feel as if this would be an upgrade over the 32/36, I want the van to be a tad unique, not just the same old 1600 with a 32/36.

If anyone has any ideas, or pro's and cons please give your input.

there not to hard to do if you can weld, get a manifold face plate, plama cut from a manifold gasket, use exhaust tube for runners into a face plate for the weber, there not a quick job, and i would say if you cant do it your self you would be better selling your idf and buying a single sidedraught, cost differance will be bugger all i would say.
