New police high speed pursuit vehicle....

While not so much a help topic, I thought I'd better put this out there so all the kent owners know what they're up against......

I guess it also could be in a category of "What made you laugh today"

Surely you'd have to draw the short straw to be assigned this vehicle for the day....?

judging by the one I drove around the Nurburgring, most escort owners should watch out, quite quick, but more importantly, handled really well. Of course the one I had was utilising R888's, was lowered, had an additional few HP and was a lighter 2 door.

    This could be very demeaning...

If I saw a burly occifer of the constabulary driving this type of car I think I would crack up so much I would most probably lose attention and cause a major road accident!

I was wondering when you were going to chime in Laurie!!!

Correct, it was outside the local childcare centre doing a 'show and tell'.

Laurie, as a 'promo vehicle', is it still 'fully functioning' or are there restrictions in place regarding it's use?

Regardless of the car, I think if I saw the blue and red flashing lights in my rear vision mirror I'd still get that sinking feeling in the gut.......

My mum has one of those and it is quite quick and very nimble.

Corning and breaks are spot on for a small car.

I am sure it could out run a dummy dore.

Actually I think they should be looking after their carbon footprint and offsetting the ss Commodes and XR8's with a Prius, that would be good for a laugh.

Shaun, Not a "Fully Operational' vehicle but at a pinch would be used for an "urgent Duty" run. Not as silly as it seems,Do not forget Police used the Cooper S back in the '60s

There is a lancer marked fuzz car in Albury 04 model I think, looked a bit strange next to the commos. Doesn't bother me what they drive or how quick it is. Im not stupid enough to think 'oh he's in a swift I think i could out run him'
