spluttering

the low down;
new plugs, new oil, bit of a tune up (idling a bit low).
took dissy apart - to fit ingintion module (ignitor) - wrong one (gotta go back and get a differnt one), so i put the old stuff back in...

what happens;
starts better
at acceleration its better
at cruising its spluttering, (between 1500 and 3000 revs) like there is some mis-fire... bloody rough to drive (especially in traffic)

what's tested / new;
new plugs
new lead from coil to dizzy
checked all the leads for spark - OK

Any idea why? is it more likely electical timing? leads? coils?

    Check your idle jets and main jets for blockages and gunk. idle jets are on the side of carb (2ltr weber etc) and mains are at the base of the float bowl. Or you might have put the dizzy back in 1 tooth out, use a timing light and adjust as required
