'71 Mk 1 2 Door - Needs to go!

Hey Everyone,

Unfortunately due to a lack of time and commitment, I have decided to part with my baby. She came to me 2 years ago from a nice old lady in Albury who had owned her since brand new.
Since acquiring her, i have completely stripped her, had her completely panel beated (no rust at all in this one, quite unbelievable I know!) to remove any shopping trolley kisses, primed and then Hi-Filled. This is how she sits today, waiting for a nice coat of paint. All the hard work with the body has been done and i was meticulous with the quality of organisation who did it.
The car has the original interior minus the two front seats.
I have had the heater bubble removed in the bay and replaced it with a custom flat panel which looks a load better, this was in preparation for a far smaller and lighter weight electric one under the dash.
Basically, the body is brilliant!

The motor was a 1300XL with auto transmission which has since been turfed and is waiting for a 2ltr Pinto (also to be supplied with sale) to be put in.
Below is a list of parts that will either sell with the car for the right price or I am open to sell them seperately.:
*Supra 5 speed W58 box with Dellow bell housing kit (brand new).
*2Ltr Front struts
*Garret 35/40 Turbo
*Original Ford Steel Bumperettes
*Turbo Smart eBoost 2 Guage ($800 brand new, not used but out of box)
*SAAS Steering wheel and Boss kit brand new
*2 x SAAS seats brand new (Match Steering wheel)

I know there is more stuff too, I know have a mental blank! The car is located in NSW in East Kurrajong. Buyer would have to arrange their own transport or we could definitely help if need be. This car would suit someone wanting to finish a project where a lot of money has already been spent doing the hard stuff. It can quite easily be restored back to an original if need be. If anyone is interested please shoot me an email at trentsthompson@optusnet.com.au I do have pics coming and a full list of parts. Simply after expressions of interest.
Cheers
Trent

Hey sounds like exactly what I'm after :)
as long as it's eoi I would be interested in the shell and all the bits to go along with it minus the motor and gearbox. As ialready have a couple 2l and type 9 laying about I know I'm lucky lol. If this is something you would consider doing drop me a line at
miss_muffet29@hotmail.com . Don't laugh haha my hotmail got cancelled for some reason dunno why so I'm using the misses till I figure it out.
Even if u don't want to seperate can u show me some pics and maybe u have some pics of when u bought it so I can see what condition the parts are in. Thanks kindly,
    Benny

Hey Benny, I mean miss muffett!

I am shooting out some pics tonight to all interested people so I will definitely shoot you some further details. I have pics of the car when i bought it and during the panel beating process. I have confirmed with my panel beater that it definitely had no rust 'anywhere' in his words. Probably the worst place on Mk 1's for rust is the heater bubble and just wait to see the pics of the bay when i bought it! Absolutely perfect condition! I hit the jackpot when i bought this one!

Expect some pics tonight mate with further details.
    Cheers

    No probs Miss Muffett!

Hey Geoff, it has been a while mate!
Yeah it is a shame to let her go but unfortunately life has taken over at this stage. I do a lot more travel these days for work and find it hard to do anything with her. I have nearly everything needed to get it all done but just no time on my hands. I have been following your project and it looks fantastic mate. I may wait for someone to completely finish a Mk 1 project and then let me buy it off them! Cheating i know but it is my only option at the moment.
I will send through some pics tonight to show you where she is at.

I have parted with my TT mate, I had to get a car with a back seat for my daughters baby seat! I picked up a brand new Audi A4 limited edition 100th anniversary model. Audi only brought 100 into the country so i am pretty wrapped with it! And the dog goes no where near this one! Will send you a pick of that too!

    Cheers

Hey Guys, I have had an offer on my Mk1 which I have decided to accept. I will be receiving a deposit over the next few days so if anything falls through I will re-list on this forum again.
Sold is only the rolling shell with the bumperettes so everything else i will re-list in the 'parts for sale' section.

    Cheers guys

Shame to hear your selling it Trent. Sounded like it was going to be a weapon. Was wondering recently when id see those Simmons pop up on your car, was actually thinking you must be close to finishing this thing off!

Yeah I know Nigel! With all the planning it would have been ready by now, unfortunately everything else got in the way, as with most projects! It looks like it is off to a great home, albeit half finished, I think the soon-to-be new owner will get her on the road pretty quickly, fingers crossed!
How is your old girl progressing? I want a lap around the block when she is done!
Will let you know when i pick up my new one, this one will be complete though!
