g'day Neale. I've thought of doing this to a kent motor too. I know I've seen some articles somewhere around the books mags etc.

There was this one on 105Speed about a Shorrock supercharger on an Anglia.

I'll see if I can find anything else.

That's an interesting pic.....one that hold a lot of interesting little features.

You could easily substitue the Toyota blower for the Shorrock unit - they even have a similar 'webbed' outer casing. Grab a 2-inch Jag SU carby and fabricate the piping etc and paint it all a dull grey color.....use some rubber hose and period clamps and find a Ram-flow aircleaner and BINGO - period supercharger set-up.

Food for thought!

I had a look at one of those toyota blowers & some of them have a clutch setp that allows you to disengage the blower when you want. Good idea for long freeway trips to lesen the strain on the motor.

plus as a bang for buck mod, double the power for around $500-$600, sounds good to me.

Well its been a while since ive updated this!!!

Since the last post incase you didn't know Ive moved to Bathurst, so the car has also changed homes to Mum & dads backyard

I promised mum it wont be there long so dad I have been making some progress to get it on the road.

Ive since decided to ditch the old rusty motor that was in it & go for the reco motor that was going to go in the escort. Good news on this front as we found its been done up to GT spec about 8,000kms ago

Also I was going to use the original Column Shift manual. But because it had been partialy dissmantled we decided to put it in the too hard basket.

We have since found a Close ratio Mk1 cortina floorshift (same as the twincam escort box) in dads shed that is in good nick & because the shifter comes out close to the firewall we can keep the bench seat

We also had a little drama mating the mk1 gearbox to the mk2 bellhousing but nothing a little machining couldnt fix.

So now thats all together the next step is to put it in the car fit extractors & get it going, do the brakes then we should be nearly there.

Also We also had a little help when we were doing the gearbox
