what's this?

Was plumbed into oil line and has 4 terminals on top. Is it a pressure or temp sensor or something different[x2x]?

If it was plumbed into the oil line it is either a pressure sensor or (my bet), an oil pressure cut out switch. Wire your fuel pump through it and when you hit the BIG tree and the engine stops, so does the fuel pump.

    Cheers
