no intention of opening up a can of worms! just have to be carefull i guess when it comes to legal Matters...
most laws to do with consumers are state legislated. NSW is seperate, Vic is too, QLD and Tas use the same, note sure of WA, SA, NT and the ACT
(i work for a finance company in the recoveries/collection/legal side)

grant the 800 is for this: complete fuel lines complete loom and sensors and a comlete dyno tune
would have been eexactly the same price regardless of the unit........say it was a wolf etc i would have paid upwards of a grand then $800 on top.
anyway thanks for all the input and support, worse comes to worse then i take grants advice and start drinkin in the shed with her and a laptop while on the phone to andrew!haha

Best of luck mate hope it all works out...
this is the reason i do all my own work... (well i get "professionals" to do the machine work etc and i do the rest..)
some companies can not be trusted or they just dont care.. i know a business has to make money.. but they shouldnt quote if they can not come up with the goods...
hope the rs comes back firing!! at the price of $800 i know how you feel.i have been done several times and i just took it on the chin.. gave me a the drive to get stuck into things myself. and you know with a bit of time and patients and some help from people off the forum or friends you will have everything under control!!
thats the benefits of this site.. when i was putting the cossie in the green Escort... People like Racemap/phil helped me out and i really appreciated it, great advice and help on a Saturday afternoon over the phone.. CHEERS guys..
so Rhys basically all i want to say is once you have the car back get stuck into it if its not running. and work it out you will be fine and it will RUN!![;^)]

no offence taken but maybe back off a little! there are a lot of people who can't do it themselves for all sorts of reasons. i'd be getting somebody else to do it for me, i really dont have the time (and not the foggiest idea what to do) plus it is only helping others with all the problems faced if anybody else goes down this track...

no offense taken russ as i know you have been thru something similar... but ur statement is a lil contradictory......i didn't have the time to do it and i can't be with out it for 6 weeks but have somehow barely managed..... this is so because i thought it he would stick to his freaking statement and actually do it in the time alocated.... and for publishing it on here it doubles as 2 things.... 1) proof 2) to help any others in a asimilar situation........also why not i have recived alot of help from people in this thread.... no offense mate but maybe you could email me or say something in person to me before doing this?no? cheers Rhys

Rhys, Might be a silly idea or not even possible as i don't know much about MS, but if they got your car running, is it as easy as Grant or Andrew sending you a file of their current map, then you load it on so car drives (just) then drive it somewhere else for a dyno or get same guys to just dyno it?

If they could get the car running there would be no problem, ms is the same as any other ems to tune, they can't even get that far which really is a joke, IMHO it reflects badly on them. Rhys will be able to get it going though, and as you say get a rough map loaded to drive it to have it tuned. This is assuming the current crew doesn't get it going, which could still happen.

Ok so things are sort of looking up after all this. Will wait and see what they tell you today. Go from there. Shouldn't be too much longer Rhys.
