I agree I had mine done, including making the loom and soldering up the computer in 2 days. Then a couple more to tune and done. How are they getting on with the board modifications? they'll be a few to make and they'll require extra componants to make the ford idle valve work

Rhys I personaly think you need to be more patience yes they told you a time but 1. they obviolsly have never worked with ms before so they would have to learn how to program it and all. 2. they are running a business with other customers, as cars like yours come in (ones that need quality time spent on them to get things right) time gets set aside per day or whenever they have spare time to work on them then the quality work gets done yeah you could have had it back in 2 weeks but you'd probably be very dissapoined with the result and have it back the next day. In my situation I had everything basicly done fuel lines manifolds on all that need ed was wiring and tuning and it sat at the dyno place for nearly 2 months, but the end result was fantastic, so I guess im saying to just chill out and reap the rewards when its done properly not a slaped up job just cause they were being rushed by the customer. Cheers Russ

im not being a prick to them, not being rude or anything to them as i wont them to do a good job first time so i dont hassle them by ringing very day etc...
but as bad as it may sound it isnt my issue if they dont have time or other cars, when i time is set for good customer service reasons they should stick to it, i work in that industry and that is the main key to a happy customer......
but personally i dont like the above, but that is what is tought forced in your face from a early stage in marketing/sales etc...
but i am happy to let them take there time and do it right as long as they are working not letting it sit in the corner and just working on it in spair time.......regardless of how much i am paying what need doing i am never the less a paying customer and should be treated with the same respect as any other......
i am waiting till the friday before all ford day before i really crack the sheets, i dont want to but fairs fair right???
bottem line to the story is im happy if i get it back in time for AFS, not happy if i dont.[;^)][88]

It hasnt been that long?
How much roughly are you paying them?? it might have been easier to buy a name branded ecu ie [x2x] umm motec (others) that they know how to program/wire and worked out the same cost.
now for these guys with no knowledge of the ms i would presume are having trouble, did you supply them with the build instructions for the ecu which runs through points to check for problems. As i said earlier even small things like the resistors for sensors will play a major part in operation. did you upload the s19 file to the ecu before you gave to them or are they handling this?? i forgot to load into mine and was having great trouble getting it to work.
I hope you not paying hourly rate as some guy will need to sit on a computer all day long and read the MS site so he can work out what the f@#k all the things mean.
if they havent said much to you by now then i'd guess another few weeks more at least

can fully understand the MS i am in no way gettin upset with them regarding that as it is kinda hrad to get ur head around...
but, i rang them wed last week and they said they have started the loom and talked for hours about this and that but the jist of it was they had started the loom, telling me also that they need to replace some fuel lines.....
rang them monday: we have been working on the loom (looked at it) but will let go due to lack of knowledge wit MS, but when asked about the fuel lines which is a 10 minute job for them low and behold they havent done it...
its just that they are blaming it on the ecu when they still havent dont things that take minutes, but save hours in the end.....
time, its not like its been months with out it but it just anoys me that they set the time and didnt ring to tell ME that it will be longer....i had to wait and when i figured they were not gonna call i rang them and got those stories....
OK, i think out of respect to the company should probly stop going on about this, it will get done when its done and thats it........
thanks for all the input i'll just have to wait and see.....[:I][88][88]
cheers rhys
