[dont have to answer this]my mate is a supervisor[qualified fitter] at a power station, and at one site he was working he was being charged out at $250+ per hour, but only got paid about $40 an hour.
I think factoring not being paid super/leave/allowances is a little bit bullshiit.
the way i see it is that a cash job is just icing on a cake.. if you wanna complain about taking up your spare time, dont do it. if you want extra cash, tax free, do it, but dont expect to be paid in gold bars.
i had some panel work done to my escort a few years ago by a backyarder, he charged $25 an hour, charged me for 10hrs, and he started the job at 10pm! he may have only taken 5hrs to do it, but for $250 including materials i was amazed.fantastic work too! need to find him again though.
