Mk1 Mk2 Towbar - same?

Just wondering if the tow bars are the same between the Mk1 and the Mk2 sedans, or vans for that matter.

Have a 71 MK1 and looking for a tow bar..[:I]

I've got a towbar that you can have if you want..... it'll get it out of my garage. Pretty sure it fits under my mk1, I can check again if you like.

No problems I'll do it tomorrow night when I have a chance to better see if it's right.

How soon do you want it? I can drop it off on the way home 1 night if you need.

Here you go Shaun. I dont have the tongue for it just this part. It will fit in between the chasis rails behind the rear spring hangers. When I tried fitting it to my car it didn't quite fit but it is only a poofteenth out so wont take much to get it to fit.

    Is this what you want?

    Duane,

I guess thats what I want, as I have never seen one....

Looks fairly agricultural[:I] Like part of a rotisserie!

Either way I'll take it and make it work. Just after something so that I can tow the bike should the need arise.

    Thanks, Shaun.

Yeah I dont think you being towing a car with it but light duty work should be fine.

Send me an email with where you want it dropped off. I cant remember your address from last time.
