Going to get some wheels
I'm going to get a set of Superlite's for my mk2 RS, I want to go with 15's but I want to know some info before I make my order.
I'm thinking either 15x6 or 15x7 I want to know what are the possible problems with running such large wheels. Bear in mind this is for a daily driven RS 2000.
I'm currently 14s with 185/60 and I want to keep the same over diameter of the tire.
Any help/info would would be greatly appreciated.

Shouldn't have an issue with diameter as series drop as rim increases, in 90% of cases. Go 15x7 if your arch lips are rolled, you may also need to *machine your rims slightly* if there's still a little tyre scrubbing. You'll have no issues what'soever with 15x6
* by machining I mean approx 5mm re-drilling from the inside of of your rim.

Awesome thanks, just what I wanted to know. 15x6 it is, I'm not going to modify the car for the sake of some wheels as I don't see any point for a car that's a daily driver.

all u have to do to fit 7inch wide rim is roll the rear guards... which is easy as and then make sure u got the right offset wheels and u'll be sweet.. i ran 16x7 superlites with no problems they were 12p offset

so to have 15x7 u need to modify(roll) the guards?? even with the correct offset?? I thought with the right offset u didn't need to change anything? if so then i might have to look into 15x6 also.

Just remember there are horses for courses! For a daily drive car 15x6 should be fine unless your pushing some big hp. Also consider this, most people go a larger rim so they can put more rubber on the road, however more rubber doesn't always equal more grip, A smaller tyre footprint on the road will warm up the tyres better and keep them running optimal, plus more rubber on the road in the wet can make less traction.

Thanks for the input guys really useful, I'm keen on rolling my gaurds just seems like too much hassle when its something more for looks then anything else even though the RS is still at standard ride height.
My car isn't making big HP, should be over 100bhp at the flywheel. So that isn't a real issue when it comes to needing the surface area for grip.
I did my order today, its going to cost me $1700 for a complete set of Performance Wheels Superlites 15x6 with tyres including spare, wheel nuts and center caps through my local City Discount Tyres

that seems expensive... im assuming they com with tyres... wat tyres r they putting on?
have u shopped around? cus i got heaps of different prices from different places...

Dont 15x7's have greater "dish" and thus look a little better than 6's (In my very humble opinion).
A factor to consider possibly.

15x7 or 16x7, either way they look and perform best...195 or 205 tyres 50 or 45 profile; you are laughing and will have a big grin

ok still, if you go and get 15x7's with 195 tyres will u need to roll the guards?? This is what im looking at and really dont want to roll guards or anything..
