sr20 det in mk 2 coupe...

Hey guys, got a '76 mk2 coupe and looking and either 13b single turbo or sr20 det.... i'm leaning toward the sr among other reasons but also because a good friend of mine is selling a rebuilt one quite cheap.

With no box but everything else need for the engine. Issue i have is its from a GTiR and just wanted to ask if apart from the bell housing and engine mounts is it fine to just sit it north-south in the chassis and customine the mount for the escort or is the engine set up way differently because it sits east-west in the GTiR???

Any help would be great?

Cheers,
Alex

im pretty sure the dizzy/cas is at the wrong end of the engine, and would interfere with the firewall on a pulsar engine.

Yeah ok thanks guys appreciate it. That sucks though I was keen on it becausse the internals on them are beefier too.
Ow well was keen on it too. In that case may just go for a front from a silvya.
