What steel wheels are these??

Hi

Was digging about in dads shed and came across these old steel rims there 7inches wide and are factory rims (not welded) i took the old 30 year old slicks off and sanded off all the rust.. and gave it a quick lick of silver paint.. thinking of putting them on my mk1 cortina.. but id like to put some chrome centre caps on.. i tried standard cortina chrome centres but there to small! so im not sure what centre would fit over them?

Does anyone know what model these would be off??

So that's your green one that parked up on the highway near the Holden dealer at Bomaderry? Do you still work up that way, or did you move with the dealer down to south Nowra? Good looking car, either way.

And sorry, I dunno what the wheels are off [:I]

They are not mexico steels. Mexico steels were the same design as the 'sport' wheel on the mk2. They have no lugs for hubcabs.

When you say they are not welded, i presume you mean 'banded'.
Chances are the centres where welded onto 7" outers. This was a very common mod in the 70s and 80s.

I have a couple of odd pairs of the same wheels, all done in 7inch as this was the standard 'wide' wheel at the time to fit to the old Holdens.

They look like XM falcon rims mate, my old XM was standard when i got it and had those rims on it with chrome hub caps in the centre that only cover around the part that's dimpled

If they fit escort pcd than they aren't xm falcon as they are a different PCD (114.3? from memory), same as nissan etc.
