Sand blast - I wish it was that easy - LOL!

First use a file to remove the majority of the casting dimples and then onto sanding into the areas not accessible with the file.

Steadily go down in paper grit and then onto wet / dry paper to get it near polished finish.

Not a lot of fun and I have since sold it!

hey guys, so i have since got a Sierra EFI set up from JamesR so my next question is although it has come with a sierra computer this is no good for my setup as i am running the std dizzy and coil. So i am wonder what computer too use, my plan is for turbo, so i am thinking can i run a fuel only computer and use a boost controller to regulate my boost? or am i going to suffer from fuel surge under load? can anyone out there with a turbo efi set up let me know what computers they are running and how they are setup.

Matty,

Any of the fuel only ecus will support the fuel injection, however, you may as well do it right the first time and get something that can control spark. It wont take you long to realise that the standard dizzy is no good for any 'serious' turbo application, so change it to electronic now. That way, fuel and spark can be mapped together, which will give better results all round. Smoother running, more power, less compromise

Easiest way is to grab one from the injected sierras, your ecu will control the spark. You want the one without the vac module. There are usually plenty on Ebay UK. Here is an example, currently at 5 pounds.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FORD-PINTO-EFI-ENGINE-DISTRIBUTOR_W0QQitemZ140395993844QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item20b040daf4

Just search for sierra or pinto distributor, you should be able to find what you want.
