2lt King Springs Eyebrow Height - Please measure

I'd like some help from other forum users running a Mk2 2lt Escort with KFFL-13 King Springs in the front.

Can you measure for me from centre of axle vertically up to the bottom of the wheel arch in mm?

I'm needing new front springs and want to ensure they fall with SA's ride height measurement laws.

It also may help to know if they're quite old or new (varying measurments).

Thank you in advance.

Rhys

Fitted KFFL-13's to the RS around 15,000klm ago - I'll get the measurements tonight, but I don't know if that'll help you much. I fitted them in 1995......

    Thanks Teeq and Jimmyd.

From the looks of your RS jimmy I should be ok height wise but measurements would still be appreciated, then I'll order a set.

    Cheers,
    Rhys

    G'day Rhys,

I haven't taken the measurement as yet, I got stuck with the Kids on Monday and we had people over last night. I wanted to confirm that I did in fact have those springs. I am pretty sure it is from memory when I had last jacked the car up and the tag isn't visable otherwise. But anyway, mine sits pretty well much the same as Jimmy's.

    Cheers

    James,

How did you measure that? I might have confused everyone in the way to measure?

You should be more in the range of 290-315mm looking at pic.

From you 2nd pic, middle of ford symbol of your wheel cap to wheel arch above letter 't' in Mastercraft is how I mean to measure.

To give you an idea when my other Escort was defected it was measured at 280mm at front and my gaurd is just over the top of tyre.

    Cheers,

    Jimmy,
Your help is appreciated. Will order a set tomorrow. I need to come in at 305mm or more so it all looks ok to go ahead with.

    Thanks,
    Rhys

you could always play it really safe and get the std height and go for the 4WD look - then later "trim" a coil after dealing with regency....

    Hi Rhys,

I measured mine and it came in at 290mm. I have a photo on my phone, if you want a look PM me with your number and I'll send it to you. I still haven't confirmed the actual spring as yet as I need to jack her up, but can probabally do so tonight for you once the rats are in bed. The springs were in the car when I brought it and are a few years old, but the car hasn't done many km's in that time.

    Cheers
