Mk1 gt 2 door.

Just when I nearly gave up finding a gt this popped up. Its a 2 door gt lhd. imported from the usa. It needs rust repair, dent repair and a paint job. Mechanicals are good, interior is good just needs new carpet. Usa gts have different seat covers and door cards and some other small differences, the most notable being the steering wheel on the left.
I have all the bits to convert to right hand drive but on inspecting the car I fell in love with it just the way it is. Its slammed down low with a set of lotus rims and looks very cool. My son is already saying that he will take it off my hands. Fat chance!
The nostalgia trip is gaining momentum.

If it's still in the States there are quite a few companies who advertise in Just Parts that bring cars in from L.A. to Sydney. May be worth a look.

    Cheers

PS: I reckon leave it LHD, it will get everyone looking twice at car shows.

The trim is the same as 65 on Lotus Cortina's.

LHD is no issue to register and I would leave it alone.

In my opinion the price was about right but it will owe you a pretty penny finished.
