How to private message

Sorry to ask this age old question but i would like to know how, be gentle please.

    Click on the persons username (top left of the post). This brings up their user profile. Then click to send an email.

    or where it says "posted - 21/01/2010 : 21:47:48"

    there are a few pictures, clicking on the letter picture will also direct to private messaging to that author.

    What happens if this specific person has no contact details on their profile page ?

    you have to supply an email address to sign up.

    but if for whatever reason theres no email, then i guess you cant send a message..

    Thanks for all your help, i looked at this persons profile and they have no info specified in "my contact details". He supplied a number on the post, but im working early tomorrow so i thought a message would be best. I will just call my next day off. Thanks again...
