Hi Pete. Throw some up. But in addition....I'm always interested in the images depicting a repair in progress (ie the various stages) from the original rusty panel through to the completed repaired section. Others may also find them interesting / insperational I have almost finished the rust repairs in my shell and prior to the repairs I would have found it helpful to see how others have done it. If you have any of these sequences I would like to see them. Perhaps it may be quicker to load the images to a seperate web page or hosting service as this uploading interface can take a while as you cannot batch transfer. Then place a few tempting images here with a link to the larger library. Just a thought........ I await........

Pictures of the restoration would be great to see. Especially before and after shots.

Yes, this is what I have used in the past and is very effective. Simple and quick upload interface also.

Hi All,
Thanks for your encouragement!
When we purchased the car it was in excellent condition with very minimal rust (almost none), only one previous rust repair and only very minor accident damage.
So maybe a little disappointing that there is only a few piccies with very minor rust repairs. However the piccies are descriptive of exactly how the repairs were carried out.
However, the car was a sunroofed car, fitted with a cheap Britax brand sunroof popular in the early 1980's. To meet the originality requirements of the "as from Ford, as delivered to first owner" strict restoration theme, the sunroof had to be removed, with no damage or alteration to the vehicle itself, and without body filler.
By replacing the turret skin would mean that modificatons had been made to the originality of the vehicle. Also, by replacing the turret skin welding would be required along the full length of the roof on both sides. The original spot welds along each side of the roof in the gutter channel would be impossible to duplicate, and be noticable in strict judging at shows.
Even to professional body builders this requirement would be a significant challenge. The photos show how this procedure was carried out including the failures. Then complete success of the second attempt after 174 (one hundred and seventy four) hours of work. Cold working of the thin stress formed turret skin (about the thickness of tissue paper!) does work, needing very little equipment, just time and persistance.
Obviously I am open to answer questions from anyone on any of the repair and restoration procedures, and how that may apply to their own car. Not that I am an expert, however it may help others!
I will load the photos directly to the forum, but a few at a time as time allows, and obvious interest from yourselves.
If you get bored just let me know.
...That splurge has made me more interested not bored at all...Stand up and be proud mate!
