Well done dude....your car is testimony to your love and ambition to own a unique vehicle. Supercars are over-rated soooooo much. For the price of a decent on here....you could have your Escort...AND fly to Europe and buy the same Supercar 2nd hand at half the price, thrash the Nurimburg Ring and ship it home.

I spent considerable time with the Editor of Street Machine at the Summernats and the notion of a head to head face off of V8's, 6's and 4's to find find the ultimate ride really appealed to him. There were a number of EFI turbo 4's dominating the Drivers Champion awards.....and this caught his eye.

Mark's RS is simply a total package.....and Aussie built to boot[^]

Give me the Blue RS2000 with attitude over a prancing horse or raging bull anyday. Supercars....PFFFFT - Can't leave them anywhere, can't drive them, can't do decent burnouts in them, insurance sucks, can't root in the back seat and guys that wave to you in traffic with a similar one are bald and probably gay.

RS2000 any day for me!

...Thank heavens for mates, work, and mates rates - one off custom gear would be too difficult to organise...The magazine wanted the cost to be small, but I have spent more than they state over 8 years. If I know what I do now and just built it as is again today, it would not be a silly figure, but then I'd miss all of the fun of sweating it out, late nights, design and drawing, swearing, spanner rash and bleeding to earn the right to drive the car[;^)]

Aint this the truth!
Even making/ machining almost everything myself.... The cost of the car sky rockets. But like you say mark...... if you were to do it again it would only be a fraction of the cost because you know what needs to be done. You know what works and what doesnt and most of all. You know excactly what you want.

I reckon my 2 door will be only a 5th of the cost of my blue car to build. Then again it will only take me 18-24 months to build also.... not the 13 years of blood sweat and tears.

P>S Im sure their will be some blood sweat and tears though on the next build[;^)]

...Thanks RJ, humbled by the remarks. I just got the magazine last night and it is a pretty good outcome. I never would have thought to get the centre poster in a publication...

If you had a prancing horse or raging bull rooting in the back seat is not an option you are correct.
But
Choosing who to take home from the chics who want a ride is a problem I'm more than happy to handle.

Great car Mark. And it's a cossie!
Simon.

Speaking of supercars...I wonder what sort of 0-100kph times these cars do...they'd need to be sub 3.0sec to beat a Cossie powered Small Ford[;^)]

...Down as low as 3.2sec from zip to one hundred (track only) with a manual gearbox...
