ignition light flickers

I took my beast for a drive last night and the ignition light just started to flicker on / off and then it went on continuously for the remainder of my journey getting brighter when I take off at intersections.

what could be causing this to occur ?

    Could be a stuffed regulator, alternator or simply bad earths.

    Check the charge rate first. It should be around 13.5 volts

    mine does the same thing iv tightened the belt put a new regulator an checked most of my wireing the lights a pain in the arse at night its been like that for about a month its charging but it doesnt seem right what sort of voltage do people get with lights on and car running

    checked it today, it was a wire off at the alternator, put it back on and now good to go !
