V6 beater

Hi All well my new capri turned up today, and this ones just going to get what ever is needed to get it back on the road. i want to have some fun with this one. anyway here it is, is a bold blue 71 v6 manual, that is now red. has some rust and needs a tidy up. it still has the factory 4speed but it has a facelift worked motor, with lumpy cam and four barrel manifold. Its missing a cpuple of bits like headlight surrounds, the plates in front of the radiator and the 3 bars that go from the box to the shifter. if anybody has the three bars that they want to get rid off let me now. i started to sort out a few items like the wiring and the carb as the wiring was shocking and the carb is missing a few pieces. hope to have on the road soon. I have to give a big thanks to Tim and Mick for their help pushing it into the shed. Cheers O.

Well the gearbox has started to make some whinning noise, I'll check the level this week, but i had it out and gave it a good thrashin' i fitted the 16 x 7 super lites and on scrubing or rubbing with standard guards at standard ride hieght 12p offset with 205,40,16's. if the box still makes noise with oil in it i'm going to put a t5 box in it. anybody out there have a bellhousing they want to part with? ;)

Tim (spanner) thanks for the sticker.
My dad now wants the car so i fitted an alarm, ;)

You got to love it "Ridgeback", "Richard" and a glass of "Red", How did you finish up at the MAD Day, I had a good run back to Sydney Cruised past the Catho Pub to check it out for next Month. Not a drop of rain on the way home a bit better than the run up in the Fog, Keep us posted on more events happening up your way, Good to see some interesting cars at a different venue, Thanks for the invite - Bruce

well its been a few days, been busy at work, and im flying to Melbourne early tomorrow morning, i give you a call jr about Wednesday, i had a knocking noise in the front end, it turned out to be a torn strut top. i ordered a set of eccentric sturt tops of smacka and they turned up in 3 days( great bloke), so there fitted, but as i was fitting them i found the strut insert was loose. i fixed it and its all good now, so ive fitted some race seats, and a momo sterriong wheel along with some better gauges. the box is giving me the sh!ts and so are the brakes, so im goping to have to fit some 4 pot brakes, coil overs, alloy hubs and the t5 in the next few weeks when work permits. Hope to see you all on the road soon. O
