The atlas has a very familiar centre. They call it a Pigs Head.I sold one recently. Will try to post a picture if I can find it.

It measures 50 inch from back plate flange on tube, to back plate flange.(std english axle is 48 at this point).
And 54 inch from drum outer face (where the wheel fits)to drum outer face.
I will rescue it from under the pile of stuff at the weekend and check the ratio and any part numbers if it has a tag still attached.
I can do a mondeo rear vented disc and caliper conversion on it when we know if it suits your needs and budget.

Standard V6 Mk1 Capri axles (ie. basis of Atlas axle) had a 3.08 CWP ratio in them from memory (50 inch width as Hendo points out). Mk 3 Capri 2.8i axle had a 3.22 CWP and was 52 inches width. Mythical baby Atlas was 48.5 inches wide and only available from Ford competition (or so the story goes). Now the early 80s P100 ute in the UK has a thick-tube Atlas running a 4.6CWP.
BTW. I have 3x 3.08 CWP if anyone wants them

Cheers

Justin

Hendo, if the diff isn't sold send me an email with price. Any body selling lsd for an atlas can also drop me a line. The mk3 2.oL has a different ratio, i think its a 3.44 but i'll have to check under mine tomorrow. The mk1 v6 capri atlas is 1 inch wider a side than a mk1 escort and the mk2/3 capri atlas is an inch wider again. O

For the record the Australian mk1 capri v6 came standard with the atlas axle in 3:22 ratio.
Overseas the mk1 facelift model (our rs3100 are taken from this model) atlas diff ratio is close enough to 3:o9 ratio.
