Hey all, I was in Melbourne for Australia Day (Yesterday) and was dissappointed to only see three classic small Fords there. One Mk1 Cortina, one Mk2 Cortina and one TC Cortina. No Capri's, Escorts, Sierra's... nothing.

The Gardens and Domain was filled with rare and classic cars, from an 1885 Mercedes to a Lotus Excel. There was even a Mercedes 300 SL (Gull Wing), Singers and enough Packards to poke with a stick.

Was this an invite only event?

well with making some arrangements i may be able to make this. hopefully spot some guys on the trip.

ive never been to anything like this before.

so i got a few questions.

what time would be best suited to get there?

where do i park my car? (escort)

are all small fords going into the display? cuz mine aint exactly a showroom rig.

do i have to be a member of RSOCVIC to come along? or can i just sign up when i rock up?

i feel im asking too many questions [:o)]

thanks guys.

Sterling you park your Escort in the park with all the others.
Get there earylish, its usually a stinker temperature wise.

Don't need to be a member.

It's a well staged event. You'll thoroughly enjoy yourself.

gates open 9, so get there then.

drive through the gate, pay $10 and you'll get directed to where you have to park.

mate, my car sucks, but it'll be there!

Protech in melton, seems like a real good bloke but he is pretty much a 1 man band and gets another bloke in 2 days a week. But he has 4-5 cars there at a time and I knew it would be slow going thats why I gave him in interior last november. Spoke to him again this morning and he assures me i'll have it mid next week so heres hoping.

Hey Sterling,
I am making the voyage up to bundoora on Sunday, I can guarantee you mine is no show car either [:x)]

we could cruise up together if you want, or see if a few of the guys wanted to meet at a service station and then head up ?
