Im not sure how you become an Independent or register a party but I am sure that someone who was serious about becoming one could find the information required...if Pauline can do it, anyone can[;^)]

In the socialist state of Australia it is nearly impossible to be successful by starting a new political party. Legislation is weighted against new parties in favour of the large well established powerful parties.

Even if a new party has some initial success and has the majority of Australians agreeing with their policies, if the policies contradict what the big boys want you will be bullied, threatened, gaoled, have the state run media continually debunk you, challenge your personal credibility, have your electoral boundries changed without notice to reduce or eliminate your success and any other games they wish to play to see you fail. Even if you want to sell your private family home the way you wish to sell it the media (controlled by the state)will let fly to turn the people against you and make you look like an idiot.

That is politics.

Just ask Pauline.

The only way to make people power count is to have a mass (peaceful) strike where EVERYONE refuses to go to work, refuses to buy petrol, refuses to go to the super market, refuses to use public transport, refuses to drive, refuses to pay bills etc etc on ONE set day/date, with a second day/date to be set soon after. The idea is to make the powerful minority ruling class become aware that the majority (ie the little people) who keep the country together have had enough.

Unfortunately this idea will fail due to the apathy of Australians, the majority of who are on the drip.

But maybe one day when the fuel runs out, or you can't afford to run your car, or the food runs out and you become hungry, people may start to think about doing something. But then it will be too late.

In the mean time we can get the warm and fuzzies complaining to our friends and families and on the forum groups......

The fastest way to embark on a political career is executive membership of a trade union.

Winning an auction on ebay less than 5kms from home and not being able to pick up the item!!! And having to pay $30 for postage!

I find it a little deceptive when the only place it is listed as, pickup only, is when you click on 'see all details' link and then have to scroll all the way to the bottom...

Why cant it be in the main listing without having to click on further links????????????????????????

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

not so much something that made me angry, just something i wish this day could have gone without.

today i went back out to the escort to finish the work

(re install of twin dellortos, and new head gasket)

i was turning the key last night, but it wouldn't start, and it was getting too dark, anyway i put the exhaust on, and tried to figure out why it wouldn't start, turns out the cam timing had jumped a few teeth, so i reset, and it started right up.

the thing is unreal! its just so loud and so f*cken ballsy!

BUT then it starts raining, and heres the incident, the tail got a little too happy (didn't know this was possible [:x)] ) and i find myself being thrown around side to side, lock to lock in the middle of a street, and at one stage i flew up over the gutter, then i regained traction, and heres the stupid part, because i was so on edge after what just happened, i try to get the hell out of there, which involved another session of skating.

it was after all this i realised i literally cant take off in the wet unless i baby her!

luckily after i got home, i inspected the damage, everything is fine! not a dent or even a chip in sight! i noticed the wing badge had fallen out, so i drove back down there and found it in the middle of the road! THANKING MY LUCKY STARS IM OK!

My Rant......Bloody Bike Riders on main highways!!!![:(!]

I'm all for fatties getting fit and saving the plantet, but why do you have to block a lane on 3 lane highway just to satify your own selfish egos.
Yesterday I was driving back from a job in the right hand lane (as I was about to turn right) and saw two spandexed organ-donors peddling along in the inside lane at 30kph (in an 80 zone)
After almost getting cleaned up crossing 2 lanes, they decided to turn right (where I was heading) The lights were on red, so they "lane-splitted" btwen the cars and took front position in the left hand turning lane. This is specifically for people getting onto Eastlink, so drivers have no alternative but to get in this lane. I was up-front in the XR4 which has an incredibly low 1st gear and was unable to get into 2nd before these two annoying bike-rider could get off the line. I was stuck behind them revving the poo poo out of my car....If I'd changed into second I would have either mowed the fat-so-and-sos down or stalled it for going too slow.
At the next lights, one of the riders decided to give me a mouthful for reving my car. My response was: what the f**k I'm I supposed to do when I'm stuck in first gear, mow you down changing into 2nd!!!! Then he decided holding up traffic by giving me a lecture on HIS rights as a road-user was the best cause of action....Geezzz Bike riders pizz me off, especially in Melbourne which has more bike tracks than f**ing Amsterdam. When are these c**ts going to learn bikes and cars don't mix.

The sooner they introduce rego, licensing and compulsory third party for organ donors that decide to ride on a public road the better.

America is the reason why Australia has not developed & stock-piled nuclear weapons.
There is an alliance. If anyone f#cks with Australia, they f#ck with America. I can thank them for that.

Australia is an important part of America's strategic defence network.

This is one of the reasons why Holden (well, GM really) and Ford still manufacture here.

If a world war breaks out Holden and Ford manufacturing plants will instantly be converted from manufacturing motor cars to weapons.

Australia is one of the very few politically very stable countries in the southern hemisphere so is very attractive to the US.

If you're on wages, buy a cheap property and rent it out. You can claim just about anything you spend on it and pay less tax.....Either that or suggest to everyone at work that you all get a pay cut so I can get cheap electricity.
