Classic Adelaide 09

well i was lucky enough to be at tafe this week. its where the scruiteneering is being held.

so here is just a sample of what is on show this year. shame but i only saw a few small fords. i didn't see everything though as i was stuck in the class room.

unfortunatly it was quite a confined space so i could not get the best of photos

first nick lenthalls mk2 ( he was after a co driver earlier in the year. i got in contack with him but in the end it came down to money..which i dont have lol. nice bloke though)

some of you may remember it looking like this after a certain skyline decided to hit him while he was doing 40kph.

this is it now. looks beautiful

nice mk1 corty. 1500 pre xflow

going by the badges and the twin side fuel fillers its a gt500

mk3 escort 1600 turbo. talking to the owner and he said its one of only 5 in aus

looks like a perana ( im no expert though so not sure)

this bubble arched mk1 was horn

here is some other assorted auto erotica.

there was also about a billion porshes. but they are all the same

Good pics Scott, also good to see Nicks got the car sorted and will be competing again this year.

I'll go for a closer look at cars Fri night in city then will watch them in action on Sunday.

Lots of dream cars there, and an Imp. [88]

Did I spy a TVR in the background?

Very sad that two competitors have been killed. Hopefully it doesnt begin to water the event down into the future.

On a lighter note I must say I do like the shape of the goldish corvette, dont normally go for the yank cars but this generation is Nice! Good photos, thanks for sharing.

    Cheers,

was speaking to the guy who owns the corvette. its got all titianium internals and other things the "beef" it up. thats the way he put it anyway.
apparantly he is building another one for track use.
