RS2000 Wedding Cake - In Classic Ford Mag UK

Well if you need to have a wedding cake, might as well be Ford. Check out the attention to detail, interior, steering wheel, seats, belts, windscreen wipers, locks, lights, lines and swedges...

......and of course Ford FG XR6T 6-speed manual cars for the gals...

Congratulations Mark. Car of the year 2009 and a wedding.
What a lucky man you must be to have such an understanding wife to have a RS 2000 Escort wedding cake. Looks awesome, it must have taken ages to make. Love the added "snail" too.

...It was made by a professional cake maker, I design and engineer electro-mechanical and hydraulic power transmission drives for industrial and mining applications and for sure did not make the cake.
The guy got the snail wrong a little as it was meant to be half out of the bonnet like a character feature...

My wife thought it was the best idea ever to have a cake in the shape of the RS, but it only became reality when we happened upon a one man band that was willing to take on the challenge, including the canopy, which is made of sugar, other company's will only do a convertible...
