the axles need to be trimmed by 3-4 mm on the spline when running a later model LSD as the axles are just a bit longer than required

The caliper brackets bolt on, and the setup fits under 13in wheels

real easy conversion - and cheap, LSD's around $250, Diff anywhere from $250???, I think they have got a bit more expensive as they have become a popular conversion

and nearly every ratio under the sun, I run a 4.89 with a spare 4.6

Scott id love to hear more about those saab brakes your running on the rear. did you fabricate your own brackets?
thanks

I think the escort will be up on stands this weekend, I will remove a wheel & take some pics, I'm pretty sure I have a spare bracket aor at least backing plate to copy
the reason I went SAAB is the guy who helped out at the time could bucket loads of the calipers, we tried BMW as well, just the SAAB ones seemed to be the simpliest, maybe not the biggest, but with my brake setup the balance bar is nearly central

STAY TUNED - I might start another thread

is ther any markings on the diff to tell you what ratio it is or do you just turn the prop around and count how many times the wheel goes around?
